Company History

In 1989, Ms. Grandy P. P. Cheng founded a company named Popbridge Industrial Limited in Hong Kong. It started as a small buying office with one staff member occupying an area of 10 square meters.  Today it is a recognized Electronics Manufacturer Services (EMS) provider with over 150 staff members & 500 additional workers.  The Group's head office is in Hong Kong (1200 square meters); its manufacturing facilities (over 12,000 square meters) are in China at Chang An Town, Dongguan, 45 minutes from the border of Hong Kong.

Popbridge, driven by Grandy Cheng, quickly established a reputation as an excellent services company and won its first component sourcing contact from the USA in 1990, swiftly followed by second one later that year from Taiwan.  However the major opportunity for sub-assembly using low cost but dedicated Chinese staff was obvious. Iin 1991, Popbridge opened its factory in Shenzhen was awarded manufacturing contracts from the USA, Taiwan and UK.

Popbridge began to establish a reputation in the Power Supply World.  Power supplies apart from supplying the required DC voltage to drive CPU's, memory devices etc., also provide the safety barrier between the lethal AC input and the safe working DC voltages.  Safety, therefore, became critical to the offering of power supplies. Popbridge soon established a well equipped safety laboratory, which today is self-certifying with CSA and KEMA, is under the client data witness programs of UL and TUV and is supported by a strong engineering team.
